Chardonnay Pearls

Deutzia 'Duncan'

Season-long color! Like other deutzia, Chardonnay Pearls® graces springtime with abundant pearl-like buds that burst into attractive star-shaped flowers. Once the flowers have faded, however, Chardonnay Pearls® Deutzia gracilis remains compelling with bright chartreuse-yellow foliage through frost. Growth is strong but compact, creating a versatile small shrub that is equally at home in the shrub border or the perennial garden. This little deutzia also creates a bold display mass planted on a slope or as a ground cover.

Yuki Cherry Blossom

Deutzia 'NCDX2'

Pink blooming version of Deutzia 'Nikko'. It took ten years to develop, but Yuki Cherry Blossom ® is the first ever 'Nikko' deutzia with pink flowers. It shares the same habit and fall color, but blooms are an appealing, delicate shade of pink. Landscape Plant of the Year, 2017.

Yuki Kabuki

Deutzia 'NCDX3'

Yuki Kabuki deutzia is another of Dr. Tom Ranney's innovations, boasting deep pink flowers and a more mounded, bushier habit than the Yuki Cherry Blossom deutzia . If it is a substitute for or improvement on anything, it would be 'Magician' deutzia, as its useful habit opens up new opportunities for landscape and garden design. Handsome glossy foliage takes on yellow, red, and purple tones in autumn for a much longer and more interesting display.
