Brandywine

Viburnum 'Bulk'

Experience the most beautiful berry display in the plant kingdom! Brandywine™ viburnum delivers loads of breathtaking berries that transform from green to shades of vivid pink and blue. Brandywine™ viburnum has good berry production even without another pollinator nearby; it is useful for ensuring fruit production on 'Winterthur,' however. Showy glossy leaves change to incredible dark maroon-red in autumn.

Blue Muffin

Viburnum 'Christom'

More compact than other arrowwood viburnum, Blue Muffin® is ideally scaled for home landscapes. It adapts to locations with full sun or partial shade. Clean white flowers make for a crisp contrast with the glossy green leaves in early to mid-summer. The showy blue fruit that inspired the name appear in late summer and fall, provided a pollinator is nearby (we recommend Chicago Lustre®).

Burkwood viburnum

Viburnum 'Goshiki'

An easy-to-grow shrub, Burkwood viburnum offers multi-season appeal in the landscape with its semi-evergreen foliage. The very fragrant early spring blooms are pink in bud and open white, giving off a spicy scent. The blooms last longer than other fragrant viburnum, and if planted near a compatible pollinator, the white flowers will transition to red berries. Burkwood viburnum is enjoyed by birds and pollinators, but deer don’t seem to be interested. Its handsome habit is perfect for foundation plantings, hedges, and mixed borders.

Steady Eddy

Viburnum 'NCVP1'

Simply put, Steady Eddy is the best reblooming viburnum we've ever seen. The show starts in late spring, when it blooms with other doublefile viburnums ( V. plicatum var. tomentosum ). It takes just a brief rest and comes roaring back with wave after wave of white lacecap blooms throughout the summer - in fact, it's rarely wthout them here in our West Michigan trial gardens. No deadheading required for continuous bloom. Foliage has an appealing, deeply incised texture, and the habit is a landscape-friendly 4-5' tall and wide. Can be cycle-pruned to ship blooming product from spring through fall.

Sweet Talker

Viburnum 'NCVX4'

Fragrant viburnums are a favorite, but rarely are they fast and easy to grow - until now. From Tom Ranney and his team at NCSU, Sweet Talker viburnum offers deep pink tubular flowers that greet you in the early spring with a sweet, spicy, honey scent. The attractive, semi-evergreen foliage is a glossy forest green with an overcast of burgundy which intensifies in the autumn. Based on this hybrid's lineage of V. x bodnantense x V. suspensum , it is heat tolerant, viburnum beetle resistant, reasonably tolerant to deer and highly salt tolerant. It's great for hedging, privacy screens, or as a small tree.
