Cotoneaster 'RutCot1'
Not your typical cotoneaster! Silverstone™ cotoneaster’s delicate white flowers in spring and vibrant red fruit in fall are just two things to love about this plant; the real reason Silverstone™ stands out is its stunning silver foliage. The fuzzy foliage and low-growing, mounding habit will bring a unique texture to the garden or landscape, making it a perfect choice for ground cover, edging, or slopes. This Cotoneaster buxifolius is durable and easy to grow, showing excellent drought tolerance once established, and its outstanding deer resistance earned it a spot in our Deer Proof program. Silverstone™ cotoneaster was developed by Dr. John Ruter at the University of Georgia, who selected it out of a large batch of seedlings for having the best color and vigor compared to the others.
